چکیده

In a cellular communication network the service area is divided into hexagonal cells and each cell is under the control of a given base station. The channel assignment problem is that given a set of cells and each with a demand of a given number of channels these have to assign frequencies for each channel so as to minimize the total radio frequency bandwidth of the system. Subject to the given interference restrictions such as co-channel and cosite, adjacent-channel and hand-off constraints. This paper mainly discuss with analysis of channel assignment strategies, study of optimization strategies and design of an efficient allocation strategy based on hyper-heuristic methodology. The simulations are carried out to exploit a mobility model that provides different degrees of offered traffic. Results show that the proposed method can achieve promising results. And it emerges that the hyper-heuristic methodology coupled with the Deviation Method (DM) acceptance criteria yields a practical way to attain near optimal performance when compared with the benchmark instances, leading a pathway to enhance the capacity.

The ever increasing demand of the subscribers has put pressure on the capacity of wireless networks around the world. To utilize the scare resources, in the present paper we propose an optimal allocation scheme for an integrated wireless/cellular model with handoff priority and handoff guarantee services. The suggested algorithm optimally allocates the resources in each cell and dynamically adj...

Power Allocation Strategies in Block-Fading Two-Way Relay Networks

This paper aims at investigating the superiority of power allocation strategies, based on calculus of variations in a point-to-point two-way relay-assisted channel incorporating the amplify and forward strategy. Single and multilayer coding strategies for two cases of having and not having the channel state information (CSI) at the transmitters are studied, respectively. Using the notion of cal...

Joint Allocation of Computational and Communication Resources to Improve Energy Efficiency in Cellular Networks

Mobile cloud computing (MCC) is a new technology that has been developed to overcome the restrictions of smart mobile devices (e.g. battery, processing power, storage capacity, etc.) to send a part of the program (with complex computing) to the cloud server (CS). In this paper, we study a multi-cell with multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) system in which the cell-interior users request service...

On Joint Sub-channel Allocation, Duplexing Mode Selection, and Power Control in Full-Duplex Co-Channel Femtocell Networks

As one of the promising approaches to increase the network capacity, Full-duplex (FD) communications have recently gained a remarkable attention. FD communication enables wireless nodes to simultaneously send and receive data through the same frequency band. Thanks to the recent achievements in the self-interference (SI) cancellation, this type of communication is expected to be potentially uti...
